Camera & Face Data
Hii Looksrequires access to your device's camera or photo library to perform facial analysis. Here's exactly how we handle this sensitive data:
- Processing only: Photos are analyzed in real-time and results are returned. The raw image is deleted from our servers within 24 hours of processing.
- No facial recognition: We do not use your images for identity verification or match them against any database of individuals.
- No training without consent: We will not use your photos to train AI models without your explicit opt-in consent.
- Local storage: Your scan results (scores and advice text) may be stored locally on your device and/or in your account for history purposes.
- Camera permission: The app requests camera access only when you initiate a scan. You may deny this permission and use photo library upload instead.
Third-Party Services
Hii Looksintegrates with trusted third-party services to deliver our features. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Play Billing — Handles subscription payments. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, crash analytics, and push notifications.
- Google AI / Vertex AI — Powers our facial analysis AI. Images are processed under Google Cloud's data processing terms.
- Expo / React Native — App framework. May collect anonymous crash and performance data.
- Mixpanel or similar — Anonymous usage analytics to understand feature engagement (no PII shared).
We ensure all third-party partners are contractually obligated to protect your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures:

- Usage analytics: Retained in anonymized form for up to 24 months
- Financial records: Retained for 7 years as required by applicable tax and accounting laws
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account within the app, or by contacting us directly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will:
- Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy
- Send an in-app notification for material changes
- For significant changes, request your acknowledgment before continued use
